Group Project: Rogerian Argument Project

1.       Choose a current controversy: something relevant and interesting

a.       Example: something about school, city (Abbotsford homeless issue), province (British Columbia pipeline), national (health care), continental (free trade agreement), or global level (child labour).

b.      Include the article in your project

2.       Apply the Rogerian Argument:

a.       Introduction: Present both sides with respect; then state your position

b.      Concession: Present the support for the opposing issue  

3.       Power Point Critique:

a.       Choose colouring that are easily noticeable to the audience

b.      Don’t read the slides; they are a visual, not your script

                                                               i.      A slide for each stage of the Rogerian Argument

                                                             ii.      Put a title on each slide

c.       Use bullet points, but not too many words
